to shine, to illuminate, to purify through polish

The Philosophy

Hard Work.
Every time. No Exceptions.

From Latin and Italian: Lustro. To shine, to illuminate, to purify through polish.

01

The Consultation

Every pair tells a story. We begin by listening: to the leather, the wear patterns, the life lived inside the shoe. No two assessments are alike.

02

The Preparation

Dirt, old cream, and oxidation are removed by hand. The leather is allowed to breathe, assessed for moisture loss, and treated before anything is applied.

03

The Treatment

Conditioners drawn from natural oils (neatsfoot, lanolin, beeswax) are worked into the grain in slow, circular passes. The leather drinks what it needs.

04

The Finish

Colour is restored with surgical precision. A high-shine or satin finish is brought up through successive layers of wax, heat, and bone. The result is irreversible elegance.

The Rituals

Five services.
Each one a commitment.

01

The Hand Shine

The standard everything else is measured against.

Each pair begins with a thorough clean and a conditioning pass, reading the leather before anything is applied. Five layers of wax follow, worked in by hand and burnished with bone to a depth no machine can replicate.

From $95

02

Suede & Nubuck

A different material. A different discipline entirely.

Suede and nubuck are not smooth leather — and cannot be treated as such. Their surface, the nap, is raised fibre that water stains, wax crushes, and standard shoe cream damages quietly and permanently. We work dry: surface dirt lifted by crepe brush, stains treated by material type, flattened nap raised back by hand, and a breathable protective finish applied to close. Accepted for dress suede, suede boots, and leather-upper luxury sneakers by select makers.

From $145

03

Colour Revival

Colour returned. Not approximated.

Dye is matched by eye to the original colour — or a considered new direction, if preferred. Applied in thin successive coats with drying time between each, then sealed with a topcoat that breathes. For shoes that have faded, scuffed through to the leather, or simply deserve better than they have received.

From $180

04

Full Restoration

The complete conversation.

A total resurrection — the closest thing to starting over without replacing what cannot be replaced. Every step: deep clean, conditioning treatment, colour work, welt and sole inspection, edge dressing, final mirror finish. Each pair is assessed individually before we begin, and documented when it leaves. Done once. Done right.

From $295

05

The Sneaker Ritual

Built to move. Restored to last.

For the leather and suede sneakers that deserve more than a wipe-down. Loro Piana, Hermès, Alexander McQueen, Amiri, Golden Goose, Rick Owens, Fendi, Giuseppe Zanotti, Burberry, Vince — if the upper is leather or suede and the maker is someone who thought about it, we will clean it properly. Upper brushed, tongue and lining addressed, sole edges cleaned and finished. A considered result, not a quick pass.

The Craftsman

Carlos.

Founder, 37 years in the craft

Carlos has spent 37 years in the craft. Every technique he uses was built through repetition, not instruction. He learned what leather responds to, what it resists, and how time changes both. His reputation was never announced. It accumulated, one pair at a time, through the work itself.

He now works by appointment. Fewer clients. More time per pair. Every shoe that comes through his hands is handled by one person, start to finish. That is the standard he keeps.

My shoes came back with a shine I did not expect. I booked again before I left.

Drew M. · Los Angeles

I brought two pairs of expensive Italian boots. He restored both. I tipped him well and I will go back regularly.

Andrew C. · Marina del Rey

My old boots looked like I had just broken them in for the first time. I will be back.
